My event is abroad, will it cost more?

If the speaker or performer you're interested in booking will be travelling abroad to attend your event, then more than likely it will cost more than a domestic booking. This is to account for the increased travel and greater time commitment; time the speaker or performer cannot devote to other clients or business activities.

However, that's only a general guide and you can often travel from London to Brussels or Paris quicker than you can reach northern UK cities. It will largely depend on the location of your event and the total travel time involved. How much of an increase you'll need to pay will vary, and individuals have their own method of accounting financially for their time.

However, broadly you can expect to pay between 25%-50% of the appearance fee for each travel or non-performance day. You will also need to reimburse all of their travel expenses, hotel costs and meals, etc.
