Pierre Novellie is a stand up comedian, writer, radio host and podcaster. His TV appearances include Dave’s World’s Most Dangerous Roads, BBC2’s The Mash Report and Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central.
He regularly co-hosts not one but two podcasts: Frank Off The Radio (with Frank Skinner) and Budpod with Phil Wang & Pierre Novellie.
Pierre was one of the regular writers on the ITV’s reboot of the Spitting Image, as well as also writing for shows like Mock the Week, Radio 4’s The News Quiz and The Mash Report. On the radio, Pierre has performed on Radio 4’s The Now Show and hosted the BBC Sounds podcast series Obsessed With... SAS:Rogue Heroes.
One of the UK’s most acclaimed live acts, Pierre’s latest show Must We? saw a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was his fourth show to have been placed in the top 20 best-reviewed comedy shows across the entire festival. He has released two comedy specials, Quiet Ones and Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? via US comedy label 800 Pound Gorilla Records which have amassed over half a million views online.
Pierre has supported Phil Wang on his nationwide tour and Frank Skinner on his five-week West End run at the Garrick Theatre.
His first book, Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things?: A Comedian’s Guide to Autism was published by Bonnier in 2024. This book is loosely based on his 2022 stand up show of the same title which described how he took a test for the condition after a neurodiverse heckler suggested he had Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
He has experience performing after-dinner sets at corporate events as well as hosting awards ceremonies and is universally liked by corporate crowds with has friendly, relatable style. Separately he speaks very openly on his late ASD diagnosis and the questions it answered about his life up until that point.
