Benedict Townsend

Benedict Townsend is a writer and online comedian best-known for presenting the hit internet news show Scroll Deep in addition to hosting film and TV podcast, Talk of the Townsends, with his wife, Hannah.

Known for his deep understanding and appreciation of internet culture, Scroll Deep (formerly YouTuber News) is created, written and hosted by Benedict. It has a global audience on Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube, with over 3 million followers, and has 22 million likes on TikTok alone. He is also the creator of the podcast Vine: Six Seconds That Changed The World, which charted in the UK and US.

With over 400,000 followers across his social media channels, Benedict’s various viral clips cover everything from current affairs to his cat Suki.

Along with his wife, Hannah, he also hosts Talk Of The Townsends, a video podcast that reached number 2 in the UK film and TV Spotify charts. On the show they do episode by episode deep dives into popular shows like The Traitors and The White Lotus.

Since 2024, Benedict has presented on Radio X conducting various interviews which has since gone viral with the likes of Margot Robbie, Paul Rudd and Jim Carrey.

In 2024, Benedict completed his first Edinburgh Fringe stand-up show with a sell out run.
