Olympic gold medallist and former GB hockey player Sam Quek first gained notoriety as a key member of Team GB’s women’s hockey team, winning 125 international caps for England and Great Britain, and winning gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Since her retirement from professional sports, Sam has built a successful career across sports broadcasting and entertainment, appearing as a regular host of BBC One’s Morning Live and making history as the first female team captain on BBC’s A Question of Sport.

Since 2024, she has been part of ITV’s Soccer Aid, playing for the winning England side, and joined Sky Sports Cricket presenting across multiple games for The Hundred. During the Paris 2024 Olympics, Sam worked with Capital Breakfast live from Team GB House, interviewing athletes daily and reporting from the heart of the Games.
