Reverend Richard Coles Sails The Shipping Forecast

We are delighted to announce one of several television projects in the pipeline for NMP Live client, Reverend Richard Coles.

In a new autumn series for More4, Sailing the Shipping Forecast (4x 60’), the Rev embarks on a marine odyssey across the British Isles and beyond. Viewers will be taken on a journey from bustling waterways to remote, isolated communities reliant on the sea to survive. On the way they’ll discover the natural beauty of estuaries, oceans, channels and coastlines.

Broadcast by BBC Radio since 1925, The Shipping Forecast celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and is known for its familiar sea area names and rhythmic delivery. The forecast is a vital part of Maritime Safety Information, ensuring the safety of mariners.
