Magnus Lindkvist is a trend spotter and futurologist who weaves together the most important and exciting current trends to forecast what life, society and business might look like in the future. With a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics and a degree in film production from UCLA, Lindkvist weaves together the worlds of quantitative insights with the imaginative storytelling of Hollywood. His talks are often described as ‘shows’ or ‘performances’; he calls it ‘intellectual acupuncture’ with the expressed intention of changing our minds with needles of insight, examples and observations.
He has won several awards for his ‘performances’ on stage and for his books, but perhaps the best acclaim ever given was from an HR director in the UK who said ‘Magnus Lindkvist is the best Swedish export since ABBA and meatballs.’
He is an active contributor to TED, the technology, entertainment and design conference based in California with conferences held all over the world. In 2009, he won the “Business Speaker of the Year” award in Sweden. He's also created the world's first academically accredited course in Trendspotting and Future Thinking at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship.
He is regarded as THE person to turn to for insight into future trends.
As a keynote speaker, Magnus Lindkvist is one of the most sought-after globally on the subjects of trends, trend spotting and future possibilities. We booked Magnus for our AM Summit 2021 as an energiser talk – and our expectations were more than met. Magnus Lindkvist was the undisputed STAR (in capital letters) in a series of Future-themed conferences ACCA organised in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Beijing in May 2014. Despite the gruelling travel schedule we put him through, Magnus was the consummate performer throughout, displaying perfect showmanship in every single 'show' and maintaining his high energy level all the way till the last conference. Magnus' keynote speech in each market reconfigured the minds of our conference delegates, setting them up perfectly for the invigorating discussion that followed on how businesses and the finance profession should future-proof themselves.
